Trogli Day 30 - Gearing Up & Best Cave Ever

After finding all he recipes Trogli crafted some Erebor Planked Gauntlets and Erebor Boots.

Back to the Mines ...

... Trogli found an even better Cave to set up in an Iron Ore Lode ...

... and it was put to the test straight away.

Trogli smiled the broadest smile so far as the Orcs couldn't even get near the Cave.

The siege ended, the Orcs fired a couple of harmless arrows and when Trogli ducked out of sight they slinked away. He cooked up a celebration feast and went to bed very pleased with himself.
 

Trogli Day 28,29 - Captain Sensible?

 

Trogli set himself up a temporary Cave camp near the Troll. It would have been sensible to make the long journey back to a camp with a Repair Station to fix his Armour, but he is not sensible and so dodged past the Troll to explore further.

He found a second deep mineshaft and made his way down.

More Spiders to clear out.

Parnips in the next chamber but no Ranger Camp.

Trogli created a temporary camp on some scaffolding and settled down for the night.

After a second good look round he returned, carefully sneaking past the Troll ...

... and over the Shadow Cursed chamber ...

... to get to the Mine Hoist Mapstone.

Back in his Elven Quarters camp he made a pretty pile of Stone and wondered why on his exploration he had not found the Rangers Camp or any other Orc Camps? 

Trogli Day 27 - Trolling

Trogli traded up his one Black Diamond for three by repairing and deconstruction the Mapstone in Loni's camp. Then he opened Loni's chest which contained 2 Sapphires.

Trogli went exploring to try and find the Rangers Camp, seeing off a Spider nest on the way.

He managed to find lots of statues to repair ...

... and needed to create a series of wood platforms over a Shadow Vent to access one of them.

Trogli found the Troll cave ...

... and nearly came a cropper trying to dodge round him.
 

Trogli Day 26 - Ink Grinder and Orc Camp

 

One of the advantages of having a main camp in the Elven Quarter is collecting Elbereth's Blessing for Lembas. 

Trogli wanted to give his Ink Grinder a try and coloured his Shieldwall and Ringmail red using Garnets.

Fast Travel - finally!

Trogli wanted to train his combat a bit and took on the Orc Camp. It didn't go well and he needed to do some RUNNING AWAY to eat his Dried Fruit.

Returning to the fight more green goblins joined, he took things more slowly and steadily ...

... and eventually won the day.

Trogli picked up a Black Diamond and the Orc Chest contained Topaz, very handy for his Rune Table.

He settled down in his Cave camp for a well earned rest.

Trogli Day 25 - Mapstone, Memorial Flame, Maul and Orcbane

 

Trogli trudged back to the Elven Quarter to "find" the Mapstone he had built collecting some Oats for Lembas on the way.

He found the Mapstone and could now use it to Fast Travel to the Mine Hoist.

Trogli also collected 5 Hero Tokens to make a Memorial Flame to honour the fallen dwarfs of Khazad-Dum.

He forged 2 Mauls ...

... Loni's Key ...

... crafted a Rune Table and ...

... inscribed Orcbane on his Eregion Spear. This gives extra damage to Orcs bust most usefully it makes a ringing noise when Orcs are near.

Trogli Day 23,24 - Orctown & Cave

Trogli explored further and discovered Orctown. Then he scouted a possible Cave location. 

Trogli found the effective Last Alliance Maul recipe required for assaulting Orctown. 

Trogli created an unassailable Cave camp.
