Trogli Day 19 - Fortune favours fools

 

Trogli delved too greedily and too late. His noise attracted a HOARD. Panic ensued as he tried to run back to camp but get lost and tried the cave trick in an Iron Ore lode. He broke through to where the Hoard was assembled.

His unbreakable Shieldwall came to the rescue as the Orcs peppered Trogli with arrows but none could get through. No dwarf should leave home without one!

Trogli spotted the Orcs were being killed by rockfalls and each other so he stayed in bowshot range hoping there would be a few deaths.

Finally the hoard was over and there were a few items to collected. Trogli ducked out of sight and most of the Orcs wandered off, his bow dealt with the 1 remaining offender.

Lo and behold the lucky dwarf only found a Black Diamond among the spoils!

Back to the Elven Quarter after repairing and a snack.

Got that Copper Ore to work and then his first rest in 2 days thanking his lucky seven stars.

Trogli Day 18 - Spiders in the Mines

 

Trogli packed his bags and headed off to The Mines looking for the Gate to Durin's Highway. 

Hen encountered poison spitting spiders and was able to stab them with his Spear but not without taking a few hits.

Bats got in on the action too.

Trogli was able to restore a couple of statues but no complete recipes yet.

Nearing both Durin's Highway and Night Trogli found a Shadow Vent and looked for a way round ...

... and found a good Copper Lode. His Ore Lust took over and he mined into the night, what could possibly go wrong?

Trogli Day 17 - Defences Tested

 

While preparing to start adventuring again Trogli was alerted to a siege. 

He hurried to his sniping spot and started to thin down the Orcs.

For some reason the bats appear after the siege is over.

The Orc hangers on needed a bit of encouragement to leave.

Inspecting the damage Trogli was concerned to find they nearly broke through the walls.

He repaired the walls, rebuilt the Barriers and added an extra layer of Stone Barriers to add some more protection all the time muttering this wouldn't have happened if I was in a Cave.
